"If our devotion is to the cause of humanity, we will be quickly defeated and broken-hearted, since we will often be confronted with a great deal of ingratitude from other people. But if we are motivated by our love for God, no amount of ingratitude will be able to hinder us from serving one another."

And then, there was new lighting!

So, as I had previously mentioned, I yanked out the hideous and dirty ceiling fan months ago and tossed it to the curb.  I had found a basic old fashioned ceiling fixture that I was excited about.  Mostly because it was reminiscent of my childhood AND it was dirt cheap brand new.  Then I found these awesome mod, petal-ly, funky lights for the windows to replace the generic fluorescent ceiling mounted lights.  Again, ugh.  So glad to rid us of those useless things.  They didn't even provide adequate light.  Sheesh!  I had an exciting few days of electrical fun.  The fun began at the circuit breaker box where NOTHing is marked.  Guessing game and a stair stepper workout as I'd flip a switch, run up the steps to see if I got it right.  Wrong guess, then back down the steps I went. Let's just say, I'm a terrible guesser.
Here's a peak at the light transformation!

This was the lighting above both windows.  Useless.
MUCH better aesthetically and functionally.
So fun and different!  My sister, Linda, said they pull out the scallops in the trim just above.  I concur.
I love them, just love them!
Basic and simple and it makes me smile inside thinking about old styles from my childhood.
I don't have a close up of the previous light fixture, but you can see it in one of the pictures from the previous post.
Perfectly lovely!  You should see the lighted reflection it gives off at night.
