"If our devotion is to the cause of humanity, we will be quickly defeated and broken-hearted, since we will often be confronted with a great deal of ingratitude from other people. But if we are motivated by our love for God, no amount of ingratitude will be able to hinder us from serving one another."

You asked

So, it's been said, that I should blog.  How crazy, since I had blogged for years.  Then life took over and, So long, Blog!  Not that life isn't still fast and furious and tends to take over still, but I'm back.
Since you requested, I may or may not have a few things to say about this and that.  Perhaps a picture or two or a million of the boys and home improvement projects.  I've been mulling it over and I do believe that a blog is best for sharing feelings and chapters in life.  While I love the fun and ease of keeping up with friends on Facebook, perhaps this is a better venue for some of the rattlings in my mind.
I am truly humbled that a few of you would ask me to re-visit the blog world.  Over the years I've learned (still learning) to think before speaking.  Striving to weigh my words according to the scripture's admonishment in Ephesians 4:29 "Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers."
Well, let's just say, I'll keep working on that one!
One would tend to assume after all the mulling over I've been doing about re-opening the blog, I would have a Welcome Back Post with a zing.  Sadly, I do not.  Ha!  Just suffice it to say, that postings will be of random subject matter.  Often perhaps and perhaps only here and there as time allows.  I hope this becomes a safe place for you to land, for a laugh, some encouragement or inspiration and perhaps even a good healthy debate.

This first one's for Daisy girl. The canine who I believe is primarily responsible for my lack of depression in an otherwise very depressing time of year - winter.

I might have mentioned the word "treat".
At least that's what she thinks she heard me say.
"Here I come! Here I come!"
 "Treat.  I love treats!"

"Wha? You never had your lip stuck up under your canines?"
