"If our devotion is to the cause of humanity, we will be quickly defeated and broken-hearted, since we will often be confronted with a great deal of ingratitude from other people. But if we are motivated by our love for God, no amount of ingratitude will be able to hinder us from serving one another."

family time

Since the passing of Shawn's Nanny, we had to switch our family Christmas visit around.  My sister graciously received us a week earlier than planned.  We were bummed that my brother and sis n law were unable to make it, but we understand.  It was short notice.
We set our Saturday morning and went straight to my mom and Jaime's place.  Since she broke her ankle, getting around is much more difficult.  We didn't mind coming to her!  The boys always love visiting her beautiful estate at Rockhill.
talking about sports, school and whatever else comes to mind
This atrium area is just around the corner from their apartment.  The boys love walking all around exploring.
 Working out!
I love you, mom.  You are such a gift to me.
 Next stop - McNallys!
We had Christmas cheesesteaks/hoagies.  Yum!
Then the game crew got their game on.
 Scattegories
We had a great time there!
Too bad the rest of the gang couldn't join us.
Thanks for having us!
We slept at the Hirschbergs Saturday night.
Chelten service in the morning.  So great to see everyone again!
Then the boys spent the better part of the daylight hours playing basketball.
This creature is very, very slobbery.  Eek!
I think we all got slimed by the end of our visit.
Shawn and his older and much taller brother.

So thankful for the opportunity to visit with Aunt Pat, Uncle Tom and Carrie before Nanny's service next weekend.  It will truly be a celebration of life next weekend at her service.
