"If our devotion is to the cause of humanity, we will be quickly defeated and broken-hearted, since we will often be confronted with a great deal of ingratitude from other people. But if we are motivated by our love for God, no amount of ingratitude will be able to hinder us from serving one another."

we been ballin'

it was a wonderful break, while it lasted.
fall that is, a season without sports.
we thoroughly enjoyed the slower pace of life. enjoying dinners together sans indigestion
from gulping food in order to get to a game or practice on time.
but it's back to the gym for us.  joseph's had a couple of weeks of conditioning and skills training.
tonight elijah and titus had their evaluations completed.
teams are being drafted and games will begin next week.
we are ready to get back at it again.
i am really excited for basketball this year.  last year, we had just moved here and barely felt settled.
i was so homesick for rolesville at each game.  but this year, it will different.
we now have new friends that we look forward to seeing again and cheering along side.
joseph moved up to the senior division this year.  6th-9th graders
crazy!  some of the kids have 5 o'clock shadows.  this outta be interesting.
it'll be good for joseph to play against older, bigger and more experienced players.
elijah and titus wasted no time when invited by coach roger to practice skills training with the big guys.
they kept pace and managed all the drills like mini pros.
scrimmage time
titus - pink shirt, joseph - behind Tre, with the ball, elijah on the right
here's a look at some of the junior division boys.
cameron, christian, elijah, zach and titus
let's go team(s) shay! (yes, shawn's coaching again - both teams!)
