"If our devotion is to the cause of humanity, we will be quickly defeated and broken-hearted, since we will often be confronted with a great deal of ingratitude from other people. But if we are motivated by our love for God, no amount of ingratitude will be able to hinder us from serving one another."

hurricane sandy's destruction

just look at this!  whatever will we do?  how will we ever rebuild?
honestly.

just having a little fun here.  we were not injured.  we sustained no property damage.
the shed doors are like that on any given day.
but seriously, i want to express sincere gratitude that our friends and neighbors were spared injuries and serious damage.  it.could.have.been.so.much.worse.
even the "inconvenience" of being without electricity for 12 hours is barely worth mention.
we are so blessed.  so many people on the east coast have had their lives changed, permanently.
we pray for them to rebuild, heal and know that God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.
our hope is in Him.

Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!
Psalm 46:10

so thankful that you guys and so many of our friends and families homes were not damaged. but i reiterate your prayers of soooo many that sustained much damage... praying for their physical well being as well as their spirits as i'm sure so many are downcast because of their situations today. thanking God that He still reigns even in the midst of discomfort...
