"If our devotion is to the cause of humanity, we will be quickly defeated and broken-hearted, since we will often be confronted with a great deal of ingratitude from other people. But if we are motivated by our love for God, no amount of ingratitude will be able to hinder us from serving one another."

School's Out!

Parting is such sweet sorrow.  I will truly miss Thomas W. Holtzman Elementary School for the next couple of months.  But something tells me we will be in summer swing in no time at all and will be back before we know it!  So for now,
 so long Elijah's classmates!

Farewell, Mrs. Townsley!  Thanks for everything.

So grateful for Mrs. Soles' hard work putting together a Fairy Tale of Poems Play with Titus' class.  This was after she had orchestrated the Talent Show, mind you!!
Titus was the narrator for one of the plays.

Great job in your play, Titus!!
And thank you for allowing me to come into your classroom every week.  I loved being there more than you'll ever know.
Mrs. Soles, oh how we love and adore you.
But, I just received Titus' report card in the mail and I think you made a mistake!
You passed him onto to the 4th grade - WAAAAAAAH!!!!

In the last days of school, I made plenty sure that I went through their school work on this side of summer.  Unlike last year when I just tossed their book bags in the spare room hoping they'd somehow file themselves away in folders to keep or circular trash.  Nope.  That never happened, so on the first day of school, I was frantically dumping backpacks for the new year.  Sigh.
I came across this little gem from Titus' many folders.  Hee hee.
Descriptions of me and Shawn.
I am fun and Shawn has all the money!
Off he goes - last day!
See ya in a little bit!
I had to pick up Joseph's medicine from the nurse, otherwise they toss it.  I got there just in time to get talked into taking three outta four of these goonies home with me.

The first day of Summer break they were up and at 'em and off to basketball camp.  They go through Saturday.  Ah...gotta love camp.
The boys were most excited about having the highschool players as their counselors.
So cool for them after going to a majority of their games this past winter.
Elijah's personal favorite player, Joe Marshall.  Total bonus, that Elijah's mom agreed to pick Joe up and take him home each day from camp.  Haha!  Honestly, somehow E found out that Joe needed a ride.  "Mom, please, can we take him???"

And so begins our summer fun!  Next up, playoffs for baseball, All Stars, pool, more camps and SLEEPING in, I hope.
