Most of you know, I left NC kicking and screaming, right? Yep. It's been over a year now that we left. We love, love, love our friends who became like family to us there and part of our hearts will forever remain in the south. Slowly but surely God proved Himself faithful to our family. Showing us many people to love over the past year. We've blogged about them. Facebooked about them. Told stories about them. And, some of you out there have been fortunate enough to have met some of them when you visited us here or when we took them there (NC).
Winter is so very hard on me and being back in the north has been quite a challenge. I have failed the winter test miserably. I don't like it. It doesn't like me. We have a mutual agreement to endure one another. I'm losing the agreement. I canNOT wait for spring.
This winter has been particularly hard. Last year, I was so busy with the unpacking and setting up house that I barely noticed winter. In fact, winter was kind last year.
Very little snow and it was quite mild.
Very little snow and it was quite mild.
This winter, not so much.
Sigh.
But then enter basketball. Senior Division STYBA (Sssstyba)
Joseph played with all middle schoolers.
Those middle schoolers are awesome kids. And, they have even AWESOMER parents!
We met them.
We laughed with them.
They mostly laugh at us, but hey - everyone's laughing, right?!
We now love them. Really love them.
What a blessing they have been to me and to our whole family.
Our oldest boy is smiling more now too. And, that, makes me smile!
I cannot remember a season where I have laughed more, honestly.
Only God can bring such pure joy to me in the midst of the most despicable season of the year - imho.
He did it and He used the most fantastic people to do it through.
So, thank you crazy and nutty, off the wall funny friends!
But most of all, I thank God for spoiling me rotten with joy.
And, Titus well, honestly, he's happy in his own little world.
He truly thought the Middle School gymnasium was his living room.
Why don't you pull up a piece of the floor and lie down and get comfortable.
You're probably gonna be here for awhile!
This was right in between both sets of bleachers just beyond the double doors leading to the gym.
what.a.kid.
And, when the snow thaws and the grass grows green again, I'll get to see this lady more!
Fortunately, I get to see Michelle, every week!!
