"If our devotion is to the cause of humanity, we will be quickly defeated and broken-hearted, since we will often be confronted with a great deal of ingratitude from other people. But if we are motivated by our love for God, no amount of ingratitude will be able to hinder us from serving one another."

It's done!

Whew!  That was a close call.  Tree up and decorated with only 4 days to spare.
Although, my mom tells stories of her and my father decorating the tree on Christmas Eve Night when Lynn and Randy were small.  They gave it up when I came along, and I don't blame them.
I cannot imagine how exhausted I would be on Christmas day being up til the wee hours.
Of course, it would be ridiculous in a house where the tree goes out in the trash on the 26th.
Color lights this year was the unanimous choice!
They picked out whatever ornaments they wanted to hang on the tree.
Joseph's primary task was organizing the candy canes.
And, begging for handouts on behalf of the Tree Decorators Local Union #3628.
Relentless, I tell you!
I can't imagine the size of their pension package.
Here are the tree laborers, taking their 6th break in 1 hour.
Thanks, boys!
You are your momma's favorite little elves.
Your fierce negotiating skills and tenacity will take you far in life, I'm certain.
Shawn took them out shopping after he got home from work.
I took full advantage of the time alone and wrapped everything, placing it neatly under the little tree.
I managed to lose one of Titus' gifts during the wrapping frenzy.
Fortunately, it turned up in the end!

We are headed to my mom and Jaime's today for our Christmas visit.
Then onto the McNallys in Doylestown for Christmas Cheesesteaks - YUM!
We will spend Sunday with Shawn's family sharing wonderful memories of Nanny.
Hope to see some of you at Chelten on Sunday morning!
Nanny's service is next weekend, so we will be back in town if we miss you this trip.
