saturday afternoon basketball victory for joseph's team!

super close game all the way.

40-37 final

shawn wasn't feeling well, so i took the boys and a few extra to the highschool

midnight madness hoop event.

basically, it introduced the new team and allowed them to showcase their talent

with shooting and dunk contests.

 hugs all around as mr. todd and mr. all brought ashanie and david up to visit c.j.

so thankful that we were recipients of the overflow

fyi - todd and al are such gifts from above.

they pour into these precious boys as servants and mentors of the gospel.

we cannot wait until they come back for another visit!

back home at faith baptist nc, this is not an uncommon site.

frequently, the boys will come to the alter after service, for prayer.

al and todd are happy to join hearts in heaven with these boys.

 i'm so grateful we experienced it here, on harrisburg ground.

 so, like, is there any cooler group of guys around?

i think not.

ashanie was titus' sunday school teacher before we moved.

he took a special liking to titus.  the feeling is mutual, i assure you.

ashanie, thank you for loving our boy as well as you do.

i know you'll continue to point him heavenward.

we love you and rest and are praying for you!

following church we ate a quick lunch and headed to Joseph's next basketball game.

tough game.  10 point deficit almost the entire game until we began coming back.

tied up and went into overtime.  tied again.  sudden death overtime.  we lost.

tough, tough loss.  but lessens to be learned.  we needed to come out of the gate and play as strong and hard as we did in the end...all the way through.  next time.

it's been good for joseph to play against the older and bigger kids this year.

hoping it challenges him even more and makes him a better player.

then...off to kaden's birthday party at the bowling alley!
