"If our devotion is to the cause of humanity, we will be quickly defeated and broken-hearted, since we will often be confronted with a great deal of ingratitude from other people. But if we are motivated by our love for God, no amount of ingratitude will be able to hinder us from serving one another."

From the Pool to the School

Last post on here was back in June.  Wow!  Time flies, doesn't it?  We thoroughly enjoyed our summer break.  Love.love.love the traditional school calendar.  Me and the boys spent just about every day at the pool.  We miss it desperately already as we said our goodbyes to it and our new friends there on Saturday.
Ping pong was a huge hit this year!
"Mom, we HAVE to get a our own ping pong table! Pah-leeeeeze!"
Even the injured got into the game.
Countless hours spent playing volley ball...
 kickball...
 swimming and
 just chillin' with new friends.
Diving board time too, of course.
 Love the lemon drop plunge!
They boys made new friends at the pool and sometimes we brought friends.
Here's the boys with Destyn on our last day there.
This picture only represents about 2/3 of the friends they made at the pool!

With summer break officially over (sigh) it's back to school for the boys.
Here's Elijah and Titus sporting shorter hair on the first day of school.
Elijah going into 4th grade this year!
He's so excited to have Titus in his school this year as Thomas Holtzman is grades 3rd-5th.
He is taking his big brother role very seriously making sure Titus gets to the bus stop without incident and to his classroom as well.
Titus is entering 3rd grade this year and couldn't be more excited about school!
I read his teacher's intro letter to him, where she explained that she is very
organized and will focus a lot on procedure and structure this year.
His response, "Oh good!  I'm so used to that because of you, mom.  Whew."
bwahahahahahaha!

It was too dark to get a picture of Joseph when he left for the bus this morning at 6:40am.
I plan to re-enact the event this afternoon when he comes home.
I'm sure he'll be thrilled with that...
