"If our devotion is to the cause of humanity, we will be quickly defeated and broken-hearted, since we will often be confronted with a great deal of ingratitude from other people. But if we are motivated by our love for God, no amount of ingratitude will be able to hinder us from serving one another."

chaperone

i'm thrilled that my boys want my company on their field trips.  Especially, that older boy of mine.  Last week i chaperoned for Elijah's class at Fort Hunter.  It was a great time and this park is very close to our house so we can take Shawn and the other two boys back for a visit.
 on the bus!
learning about the native american indians who lived here many years ago.
 holding his artifact
creating a pot out of a ball of clay
eating lunch with his best buddy, cameron (left)
