"If our devotion is to the cause of humanity, we will be quickly defeated and broken-hearted, since we will often be confronted with a great deal of ingratitude from other people. But if we are motivated by our love for God, no amount of ingratitude will be able to hinder us from serving one another."

america sings!

titus has been so excited about his spring program at school.  finally, the day had come.  he had been singing and telling me all about it for the past couple of weeks.
i asked him if he was supposed to wear anything in particular for his program.
his response, "red, white and blue.  I know what i'm going to wear, mom."
friday morning, he donned his red polo shirt (the one he's been wearing to church in the warmer weather since last spring) and a pair of dark blue, light blue and white mesh shorts.  great.
i chose to let it slide.  not worth dying on the mountain for, especially since he took care of it all by himself.  even better, no shopping trip required.  sweet.
the program consisted of songs about our country.  i loved it!
they had a presentation of the flags by American Legion Post #272,
who also demonstrated the proper way to fold a flag.
i just loved hearing the children sing songs about our great nation.
i remember singing them after reciting the pledge in grade school.

yay! and, thank you mr. king.
begging me to take him home early.  nope.

Hey, sorry I've been out of touch for so long. Hope you and family have been well. How's church planting going? Blessed Mothers' Day! Not sure if it falls on the same date for you guys but we don't need a date to celebrate mothers. :) (Hug)

Hey jos! Soooo good to hear from you. Yes, life gets busy and I totally understand. CP is going well. We are moving along and building relationships for the gospel's sake so that's always exciting! Yes, mother's day is today, may 13th here in the US. I love you, girl and again, thanks for touching base.
