"If our devotion is to the cause of humanity, we will be quickly defeated and broken-hearted, since we will often be confronted with a great deal of ingratitude from other people. But if we are motivated by our love for God, no amount of ingratitude will be able to hinder us from serving one another."

our digs

Goodness, I don't think I ever posted pics of our new home.  But maybe I did.  I can't remember.  So here you are:
Idea stolen from my friend, Jonalee.  But ever since I started writing the menu on the wall in the morning, the boys whining and complaining about dinner has ceased dramatically.
Not sure why, but I'm forever indebted to you, Jonalee!
This is where all the cooking magic occurs!  I just love this kitchen, which for me, is huge.
The office was messy the day I took these pictures but will be sure to clean it up and photograph it for the ole blog!
We also have a front room on this main level.  But it's not finished.  Pictures later...much.
The upstairs hasn't been painted or decorated, so nothing to show for now.
Snow fell softly the other day.
Not enough to play in but just enough to be annoying, in my humble opinion.

Lisa-
It looks just awesome! I love it. The chalkboard paint in the kitchen is brilliant! Having the knives on the wall like that is courageous and ingenious--"don't mess with mama".
Miss you and so happy to be able to hear your voice through FB and your blog.

ha! lisa...you might be onto something. positioning the knives right next to the dinner menu just might be why there has been no complaint of dinner foods. hmmmm. i AM brilliant, aren't I?

Lisa,Thanks so much for posting all these great pics! You sure have some great decorating skills and ideas! Your home looks so comfy cozy, I wish I lived closer so I could share a visit with you, your mom and sis. Maybe one of these days we'll get to do that when we visit PA again. Meanwhile, please know you and yours are in our daily prayers.Marilyn S
