"If our devotion is to the cause of humanity, we will be quickly defeated and broken-hearted, since we will often be confronted with a great deal of ingratitude from other people. But if we are motivated by our love for God, no amount of ingratitude will be able to hinder us from serving one another."

faithfulness

Through the LORD's mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not,
They are new every morning,
Great is Your faithfulness.
"The LORD is my portion," says my soul,
"Therefore I hope in Him!"
Lamentations 3:22-24

Shawn had an interview this morning at 6:30am with large local painting company.  He has been pursuing this company for months in hopes of securing employment with them.
I prayed hard, asking God not to allow me to put my hope in a job prospect but in Him alone.
Declaring to the Lord that He knows our needs and He sees fit to provide for us in His ways.
In His faithfulness to us, He has seen that it would be good for Shawn to provide for our family through working for LaPorte Painting, Inc!
Shawn called this morning about an hour ago to give me the good news.
Won't you join us in rejoicing and praising Him, the One from whom all blessings flow.
I'm so thankful that His love, mercy and goodness doesn't rely on me or anything I have to offer.  He is so good to us...in our faithfulness and faithlessness.  He is a good God.  I was reminded at church yesterday, that He doesn't withhold any of the good He has for us.
Thank you, Lord, for choosing to lead Shawn to this job.  We are so grateful for your provision.
I pray that Shawn would always strive to bring you glory as he labors and that he would reflect You and your attributes in the new relationships he makes there.

Praises be to our Lord above! We've spent much time praying that the Lord would open the door to employment for Shawn and this morning He opened that door! It's onward and upward for the Harrisburg Shays!
